Classic Hot Dog Costume for Your Dachshund

Do you want mustard or ketchup on your wiener dog?

I’ve bought some nice sweaters and clothes for Odie and the girls, but never dressed them up in costumes for Halloween before.  The classic costume designed specifically for the Dacshund is the Hot Dog bun.  Somehow it just looks too funny on these long and short dogs.

I’ve seen other dogs wearing the bun, but it just doesn’t look right.  Usually when other dogs sport the bun, their legs are too long or the bun is too large making the dog look like an out of place hot dog.  I guess I’d get the same look if I wore a Superman costume.

The Wiener costume attaches with Velcro so it stays put on your Dachshund even when it runs to the door to greet the trick-or-treaters. My guess is that once the kiddies see your dog wearing it, they will get an unsweetened treat out of it.
