Thanks, I'll try that. Have you ever heard of a pinched nerve in the neck causing spastic paralysis of a front leg and back leg flacid? I found one site that discussed cervicle spine problems but most are rear leg problems
Thanks again.

Karen,

I'm sorry to hear about your Doxie and glad that she's getting some mobility back.

The Vet gave us the belly sling when we took Odie home. You may want to try to get one from your Vet.

A towel cut to fit your Dachshund may work better. You would cut the towel about the width of your dog's belly, perhaps 6 to 8 inches wide, for the entire length of the towel.

But since your dog is paralyzed on one side, you may want to create holes in the towel for the front legs. But in either case, you should consult your Vet for what's best for Molly.

Hi I have a mini doxie named molly also and she was diagnosis with a pinched nerve and only has the use of her left front and back leg. I read that you had a belly swing for odie, could you tell me where you got it. I tried to fashion one from an arm sling but it put too much pressure on her neck. I have been doing water thearpy and massage and she is getting a little more mobile but potting is a problem. Thank God she is contient of both urine and stool but sometimes I'm not sure why see is whining and she has an accident. I was thinking that the belly swing would help. Glad Odie is better.
