I have replaced the carpet with ceremic, wood and tile twice. He has not stopped peeing and he does not plan too. I love the dog so much. I even considered threapy for him until I was told it would cost me $80 per hour. I have decided to join a grief group after I remove the dog from my home. He hides when caught and if I attempt to pick him up he lets growls. I must have serious issues to continue to live with a dog in filth tactically allowing him to pee out my home. Good luck everyone I know say they dont stop...things have gotten worse. The dog has a great life. House training her has been very difficult. After she has already went to the bathroom in the house... you cant yell at her for it. she wont know what shes done wrong. after you do that.. she'll just be afraid to go to the bathroom at all. only scold her when you catch her doing it. Simply say "NO" and take her outside. reward her when she does right. positiveness is what is needed. Never beat your dachshund though... they are too little!!!! I have a miniature dachshund also.
